How To Make A Soothing Nose Balm
Create your own soft and soothing balm, perfect for protecting and moisturising your nose from colds and soreness.
This recipe is a guide and can be adjusted using all kinds of oils, butters and more on our website to create your own bespoke balms.
Perfect for skin care, we have used a selection of essential oils, waxes and butters to create a perfectly gentle and equally beneficial balm. With ingredients known for their antiseptic and healing properties.
Lavender Essential Oil, a delicately floral oil, known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Lavender helps to soothe and heal damaged skin.
Lemon Essential Oil, this oil is refreshing and known to help ease muscle tension and provide relief for aches and soreness.
Peppermint Essential Oil, the perfect addition for any hay fever sufferers. This oil is often used to help decongest and soothe sore throats.
Coconut Oil, a soft and gentle oil, this wonderfully versatile product helps to moisturising your skin leave a soft and nourished feel.
White Beeswax, is used to add a bit of structure to our balms, beeswax add a protective layer to your skin to protect against unwanted germs.
Please ensure all appropriate safety gear is worn when making this product. This recipe makes three 15ml tins of balm, simply warm with your finger and gently apply to your skin.
Equipment
• Mixing Jug
• Gloves
• Spatula
• 3x 15ml Squat Screw Top Aluminium Tins
Ingredients
• 35g Coconut Oil, White Standard
• 15g Beeswax, White, Standard
• 4 Drops Lemon Essential Oil
• 4 Drops Lavender Essential Oil, 40/42
• 4 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil, Piperita
Step 1
Firstly, prepare and clean your working area. Including sourcing all equipment needed. For this recipe you will need a mixing jug, a spatula and a microwave.
Step 2
Next, add your coconut oil and beeswax into your jug. Place in the microwave for one minute, stir and then place back in for another minute until completely melted.
Step 3
Then pour in all three of your essential oils and stir until completely dispersed.
Step 4
When you are happy your ingredients have mixed well, carefully pouring into your tins and leave for a few hours to solidify.
Step 5
Once solidified you can enjoy your Soothing Nose Balm!
