What is our CPSR Generator?
At The Soap Kitchen our team have been working hard to re-design the way our CPSR's work, to simplify the process and help generate your safety assessments faster.
Instead of sending lots of forms and emails back and forth our aim was to create an electronic submission system and bring our process into the modern era. When you click the CPSR product link below you will be taken to the generator page where you will be asked to enter the details for your CPSR. Don’t worry if you do not have all the information to hand right now, as we have built in the ability to save it so you can come back and finish it off when convenient.
The generator can work in two ways, you can use it as a formulating tool to help work out if your recipe ideas will be suitable for assessment or you can fill out all the details and submit your recipe to have a CPSR created by our chemist.
Once you form is complete and your complete your order, your assessment is reviewed by our assessor and returned to you completed within a short time frame. Please note, if there are additional requirements or changes needed our assessor will be in touch and this may cause a delay to your completed assessment.

What makes our CPSR Generator beneficial?
You will notice a big change in the pricing of our CPSR’s. To reward our most loyal customers we have split the pricing to offer a lower price for CPSR’s that use materials solely sourced from The Soap Kitchen. Requests for CPSR’s that use materials from other suppliers will continue to be provided at the same price as they were previously.
If your formulation uses materials from other suppliers the process remains very similar to the old way, only digitalised. You will be able to enter a base formulation and up to six variations. These variations must be filled in to proceed with your order, you can also use a mixture of TSK and non TSK products for these packages.
Customers using solely The Soap Kitchen materials not only benefit from a lower pricing structure but a more flexible structure to the addition of variations. You will be charged a base rate for the base formula and one variation, then the price will increase by a set amount for each variation you choose to add up to a maximum of 10 variations. A breakdown of the new pricing structures is given below.
It also means that, where applicable, any TSK products have their maximum usage limits visible, this is based on the product you are making. As an added bonus, any technical documents are automatically sent to our assessor when your order is placed. You do not need to add any documents to the generator for any TSK materials.
What are the packages and prices for our CPSR Generator?
If you are using The Soap Kitchen materials you can purchase a CPSR report with 10 variations for only £168 including VAT! A variation is from as little as £12. If you only want to assess a pre-made base, with no variations you can also do so and this will only be £60.
Our Packages:
- Cold & Hot Process Solid Soap

As each package is different, they each have their own set up, for example the Cold Process Package is set up to technically advise the correct ratios of lye (sodium hydroxide and water) to oils.
Each package has been specifically set up to ensure the safety of your recipe. Our generator is not a scientific calculator that ensures the stability of your recipe, we highly recommend testing your formulations before using our generator. Please read our T&Cs in full before using our generator.
How to use our CPSR Generator
Please see how step by step tutorial on how to use our CPSR Generator. We take you through a basic recipe, as well as show you the differences on a variety of packages...
Please ensure all details are filled out in English and you provide as much detail as possible about your formulations.
We have tried very hard to build in as many creative scenarios as we could to our new generator but there will undoubtedly be some teething issues, please bear with use while we try to iron out the creases and improve the process further. If you have questions or would like to provide feedback on this new system, please comment below and our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Sulphate free shampoo bars
By: Jessica Wade On 2023-08-08Good afternoon,
I've started making shampoo bars using all your ingredients, I'm wanting to create my cpsr but am a little confused as to whether I am meant to put the 3 soap fragrances on one form? Could you clarify this please?
Many Thanks
Jessica

Using clear and white soap bases
By: Sophie price-stuart On 2023-05-02Hi there. I am new to CPSR. I am wanting to start a business for soap. I am using products from your business. I have come up with three recipes. 2 of them use a clear base and one uses a white base. Do I have the clear base and white base recipes separately or can I put them both in one report.

Using Goat Milk instead of Water
By: Robert C. Waters On 2023-03-02Hi, I just started using the CPRS generator, when I came across a bit of a problem. The form was asking for the amount of water that we add to our recipe, however we don’t use waters, we use goat milk! Is it still possible to have a CPRS done for us? And if so how?
Cheers,
