Common Myrtle (Myrtus Communis) comes from the same plant family as eucalyptus, tea tree, bayberry and English bog myrtle. It is native to the Mediterranean region as well as western Asia and the Indian subcontinent and is sometimes referred to as European Bog Myrtle.
Myrtle oil has a clear, fresh and camphoraceous, balsamic, slightly spicy aroma reminiscent of Eucalyptus.
