How To Make Richard's Rose Geranium Soap
Step 1
Firstly, accurately weigh out your ingredients.
Step 2
Next, prepare your rose powder by mixing your heaped teaspoon with water in a small bowl. Blend to disperse any lumps, you want to finish with a paste.
Step 3
Then create your soap mix by combining your lye and oils.
Step 4
Once your trace has been reached add in your essential oil and mix. Ensure your essential oil has dispersed throughout.
Step 5
Once you are happy your ingredients are combined, pour your soap mix into your soap mould. Leaving 200g ish in the pan.
Step 6
With this remaining soap gently stir in your pre-made rose paste. Slowly blend until your mix turns colour, bear in mind this will turn a shade of brown once the soap has cured. Then pour into your soap mould to merge with your previous soap mix.
Step 7
Using a tool (we used a piece of electric wire or bent knitting needle), dip into your soap mix and move back and forth to create small swirls.
Step 8
Then wrap your soap and leave to cure.
Step 9
After roughly 24-48 hours you can cut your soap into bars. Then you need to leave it to finish curing, this takes 3-4 weeks. Once cured you can enjoy your Rose Geranium Natural Soap!
