White Melt & Pour Soap Guide
Step 1
Firstly, wearing gloves weigh out all of your ingredients.
Step 2
Next, carefully cut your soap base into small cubes. This will help speed up the melting process.
Step 3
Then place your cubes into your jug and melt in the microwave on medium heat in intervals to ensure you don’t boil your soap. Initially melt for 1 minute then stir and put back in. Keep an eye on your soap as it can get hot very fast.
Step 4
Once your soap has melted, add in your fragrance oil and mix well.
Then you can add in your green liquid dye a few drops at a time until you have reached your preferred colour.
Step 5
Next, you can then stir in your poppy seeds ensuring they disperse throughout.
Step 6
With your mixture ready you can now pour it into your soap mould. Use your spatula to scrape out any excess mixture.
Step 7
Gently spray with isopropyl alcohol to help remove any unwanted bubbles.
Step 8
Then leave your soaps to set. Preferably overnight, however, a few hours is acceptable or when they have fully solidified.
Step 9
Once your soap is set it's time to demould. When demoulding pull the sides of your moulds away from the soap and place your soap upside down and using the palm of your hand push down on the bottom to release the base.
Depending on your chosen exfoliant your seeds may disperse differently throughout your soap.
Step 10
You can now cut your soap with a soap cutter to make the pieces even, or freehand with different size chunks ready to use.
