Create your very own shaving soap with our fun and easy guide. Perfect for all kinds of shaving, from legs to face and bikini line!
The high foaming base we have selected has excellent moisturising properties and high foaming capabilities.
We have also chosen Sweet Almond Oil as it’s super emollient and a great moisturiser, it is especially good for sensitive skin and helps with skin conditions and razor bumps!
This recipe is a guide and can be adjusted using all kinds of scents and more on our website to create your own bespoke shaving soap.
Please ensure all appropriate safety gear is worn when making this product.
Equipment
• Soap Cutter
• Mixing Bowl
• Weighing Scales
• Spatula
• 1x Cylindrical Salerno Wide Jar, 200ml
• 1x Satin Lid, Aluminium, 89mm
Materials
• 150g Stephenson High Foaming Soap Base
• 15g Sweet Almond Oil
• 5g Bentonite Clay
• 0.75g Frankincense Essential Oil, Serrata
Step 1
Firstly, wearing gloves weigh out all of your ingredients.
Step 2
Next, carefully cut your foaming soap base into small cubes. This will help speed up the melting process.
Step 3
Then place your cubes into your jug and melt in the microwave on medium heat in intervals to ensure you don’t boil your soap. Initially melt for 1 minute then stir and put back in. Keep an eye on your soap as it can get hot very fast.
Step 4
With your base now melted, add in your sweet almond oil and mix.
Step 5
Next, pour in your essential oil and stir well. We have chosen Frankincense Essential Oil which is known for its ability to strengthen skin, improve elasticity and blemishes, as well as create a barrier against bacteria.
Step 6
Then mix in your bentonite clay. (Bentonite clay is great for unclogging pores and drawing out toxins.)
Step 7
Pour your mixture into a container and leave overnight to set.
And there you have it, your very own shaving foam ready to use!
