This recipe makes three 70mm bath bombs.
Equipment
• 4x Mixing Bowls
• Gloves
• Water Sprayer
• 70mm Bath Bombs Moulds
Ingredients
• 400g Bicarbonate of Soda
• 200g Citric Acid, Monohydrate
• 30g SLSA Powder
• 15g Polysorbate 80
• 6g Mojito Fragrance
• 6g Pina Colada Fragrance
• 6g Clementine & Fizz Fragrance
• Green Liquid Colour
• Orange Annatto Liquid Colour
• Violet Liquid Colour
Step 1
Firstly, prepare and clean your working area. Including sourcing all equipment needed. For this recipe you will need four mixing bowls, gloves and a water sprayer.
Step 2
Next, in one bowl mix together your bicarbonate of soda and citric acid.
Step 3
Then sprinkle in your SLSA and carefully mix in.
Step 4
Once you dry ingredients have combined, pouring your polysorbate and blend. Ensuring you break away any lumps that may of formed.
Step 5
Next, split your mix into four even bowls and leave one as your white mix.
Step 6
Then, in your other three bowls, add one of your fragrances to each bowl and mix well.
Step 7
Now you can mix in your colours. We chose to add our green liquid colour to our Mojito, orange to our Clementine & Fizz and violet to our Pina Colada. Ensuring each colour blends completely throughout.
Step 8
Next, you can start build your bombs. Before you start, make sure your consistency is correct. Squeeze your mix in one hand, you want it to hold like a snowball. If it falls apart, spray from a distance with water and mix well until you get the correct consistency.
Step 9
Then, starting with one colour, alternate your layers with your white to create a stripy bath bomb. Fill your mould completely and compress your two halves together. Carefully remove your mould and leave your bomb to one side to harden, preferably over night. Repeat with your other two colours.
Step 10
Once your bombs have hardened, you can enjoy your Cocktail Inspired Bath Bombs!
