What is the best base for body glitter?
Aloe Vera Gel makes the best base for body glitter, not only is is gentle on your skin, it is also super refreshing and hydrating. Aloe Vera Gel is perfect for holding the glitter in place, as it dries it leaves no residue and washes off really easily with warm water. Not only does it soothe your skin, Aloe Vera Gel is cool on hot days and it holds the glitter with out it being sticky.
You can also use Petroleum Jelly as an alternative to Aloe Vera Gel.
What are the best glitters for body glitter?
There are all kinds of sparkly glitters out there, but ensuring you use skin safe, plastic free glitters are best. That way you can wash off the glitters in the shower or down the sink without harming the aquatic life. Bio-glitters are a wonderful plastic free glitter option, they also come in a range of particle sizes to create different effects. We also supply a selection of eco sparks mica based glitter, an ultra fine glitter which are great for covering more surface area.
Please ensure all appropriate safety gear is worn when making this product.

Materials
• 150g Aloe Gel Base
• 5 Drops Fragrance Oil
• 20g Glitter (total)
How To Make Your Own Body Glitter...
- Firstly, wearing gloves weigh out all of your ingredients.
- Next, add your Aloe gel into a bowl and mix in your fragrance oil.
- Then pour in your glitter and mix well. For this recipe, we have used 5g of fine bio glitter and 15g chunky bio glitter. (You can mix and match your glitter colours and size as we have in our video!)
- Finally, add your mixture to your desired container and your glitter is ready to go!
Use on your arms for a stunning shimmer or add to your hair for a fun festival vibe.
How do you wash body glitter off?
To remove body glitter, either in a shower or with a sink of warm water, soak a cloth or flannel and use it to gently wipe away the glitter. If you are removing the glitter from your hair or scalp, lather your hair with shampoo and rinse thoroughly to remove the glitter.
Is glitter safe for your skin?
If you are using cosmetic grade glitter, yes it will be skin safe. However, with any small particles we would always recommend keeping away from your eyes, mouth and nose, as well as cuts or grazes you may have. Always wash away thoroughly to leave your skin fresh and clean.
