How To Make Christmas Melt & Pour Soaps
With Christmas only a few weeks away, we have these beautiful Christmas Melt & Pour Soaps! A quick and easy make to create a visually stunning final product.
This recipe tells you how to make melt and pour soap. Using only three of our products, as well as some beautiful botanicals for decoration.
Equipment
• Large Microwaveable Jug
• Spatula
• Measuring Spoons
• Accurate Weighing Scales
• Soap Mould (We used our Heart Mould & Rectangle Mould)
Ingredients
• 1kg Crystal Triple Butter Melt & Pour
• 20ml Clementine & Fizz Fragrance
• Mixed Botanicals (Seasonal)
• Isopropyl Alcohol
IMPORTANT: These soaps are mainly for appearance, we used natural plants from the garden which discoloured after time. So be aware of this when deciding what to decorate with.
Method
Step 1
Firstly accurately weigh out your soap base, cut into small cubes and place in the microwave to melt. Ensuring it doesn’t boil or get too hot.
Step 2
Once melted add in your fragrance oil and mix until evenly dispersed throughout.
Step 3
Next pour your soap into your moulds.
Step 4
As soon as you have poured your soap into your moulds, finely spray with IPA. This will help to remove any unwanted bubbles and leave a smooth finish. Then leave to form a light film on the surface.
Step 5
Once a film has formed gently place your seasonal decorations onto your soaps. Take your time as you don't want them to sink.
Step 6
When you have finished decorating, leave to set.
Step 7
When they have set you can remove from their moulds and enjoy your Christmas Melt & Pour Soaps.
