Brassica napus
High in euric acid and very low in saturated fatty acids, this oil is slow to saponify in soap-making, but does contribute moisturising qualities to soaps. Can be used to replace a portion of more expensive oils within a soap formula, but has a low SAP value, so adjustment to the soidium hydroxide quantity is probably required if doing so. Often known as Canola oil, which is strictly a hybrid of rapeseed oil used for food applications.
