Delivery of your order

delivery Why it can take a few days for your order to be delivered....

We often get asked why it sometimes takes a few days for you to receive your order from us, so please let us explain...

Firstly, we keep all of the lines on our website in stock in bulk. We do not down-pack into the many pack sizes we offer until we have your order ready to be processed. This is because all orders are different and as a result, packing each order is not simply about putting items in boxes, but about preparing each item to match your order.

Each order received is in numerical order. Unless you have opted for Express Shipping, each order will take its turn in the numerical order it is received regardless of size or place of origin.

Because our business is very seasonal, some times of the year are quieter than others, so in some instances you may find your order turn up after just 1-2 days, but at busy times of the year or periods where we have staff holidays or unexpected staff sickness to deal with it may take longer. This is for two main reasons as follows...

a. A number of staff will deal with Express Orders only every morning, which means there are less staff dealing with regular orders until all express orders are shipped.

b. The sheer volume and size of orders at some times of the year means we simply have no choice but to extend processing times and on occasions this can exceed 1 week.

Now... We try our very best to ensure all customers that do need their orders fast get them fast by offering the Express Shipping option (UK only). We publish our approximate shipping times for regular shipping options and we take many phone calls and emails requesting orders are shipped at specific times or by certain dates etc.. What we never do is simply wait here for orders to come through, as if this were the case we would have too few orders or too many staff, and either way we would not be in business very long if this were the case. Every order you place already has many preceeding it, sometimes many hundreds, so we simply ask for YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENCE and to please choose your shipping option to match the urgency of your order.

For our many valued non-UK customers we are always very happy to try and speed up dispatch of your order if you simply ask us, either by phone or email.

We hope this goes some way to explain. We intend to stay in business and continue suppliying our many valued customers for many years to come and this would not be the case if we chose to try and meet unattainable expectations.
