2011
Dates for our beginners workshops in Cold Process natural

Our
next planned dates for workshops are...
Friday
20th January, Friday 30th March and Friday 25th May 2012.
(spaces will be limited)
Because
we are in rural North Devon, public transport links are
poor and from experience we often find those wishing to
attend our workshops make a long weekend of it, staying
in the area for 2-3 nights, so we've chosen these dates
with this in mind.
The
day commences at 10.00am, with a light lunch of sandwiches
and salads provided at 1.00pm, and finally ending at around
4.00pm. All materials and literature are provided within
the price. Because cold-process soaps require 24 hours to
saponify into a solid, they cannot be taken away on the
day, so instead we will send-on your creations by post a
few days later, unless you're able to collect after the
weekend.
The
cost of our workshop is £80.00 + VAT per person with
a 10% discount for bookings of 2 persons or more.
Because
our premises is essentially a working warehouse, our usual
business will carry on nearby, but on workshop days we ensure
disturbance to those on the workshop is minimal. Although
this is a beginners workshop, we are able to tailor the
level of instruction to the experience of those attending.
We also find that we have requests to cover other subjects
such as the basic techniques of making creams, lotions,
bath bombs and creamers etc., so once we know the interests
of those on the workshop we are able to better make the
day an enjoyable experience.
Cold-Process
Soap-Making involves the use of Caustic Soda. All those
attending will be required to sign a waiver of responsibility
and will undertake to use all safety equipment (provided).
Although we don't impose a strict age limit, it would be
generally advised as unsuitable for children under 16 years
of age.
